Date Submitted: March 7, 2005 Job Title: Campus Beautification (several positions available) Department Area: Volunteer Program – Development Office Job Description: To help maintain certain areas of the college campus landscaping to aid in visual upkeep and presentation of Darton College. Duties & Responsibilites: Maintain flower beds around campus buildings by pulling weeds, removing dead foliage, and other actions to help keep plants and flowers alive and vibrant. Be able to identify areas in need of water, mulch, fertilizer, pine needles, etc. Goal would be to continually keep the campus flowers and greenery looking the best it can to improve the appearance of Darton College (which may mean picking up trash, for example, in flower beds). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have knowledge of gardening and/or landscaping. Must be physically able to work outdoors. Must be able to carry loads exceeding 10 lbs. This is perfect for the person who loves to be outside and loves working in the garden. All tools and equipment needed will be provided. Hours/Days Needed: Offers a very flexible schedule, any time of the day Monday through Friday is acceptable, with a preference for early morning hours due to work being done outdoors.
